BE WARNED THAT IT IS ILLEGAL TO VIEW SKY(uk) TELEVISION IN FRANCE even if your own subscription card is taken from the UK and placed in your own receiver in France.

Sounds absurd but it is true.

ANY company that supplies or offers to supply legitimate Sky Subscription cards in France is technically breaking the law in both the UK and in France.

Anyone that purchases a Sky Subscription card to watch Satellite tv in France that is encoded by Sky and needs a Sky card to decode the signal is breaking the law and leaving themselves not only open to being ripped-off by the supplying company but to legal action from Sky(BSKYB).

Many internet sitesand other brave people (sometimes in Expat Newspapers!!!) may advertise with names such as "skytvfrancetelly" may sound legitimate and even show SKY emblems and trademarks on their websites but the service is operating illegally.
